ESPLANADE ART CENTER EXHIBITION

Through the end of July, the Esplanade Arts Center is featuring displays of three unique aspects of art. The first is plein air art, or art produced out of doors in natural light. Fourteen local artists age sixteen to eighty plus are highlighted in an eclectic mix of media, including pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oil. The second facet of the show features the art of Marcia Gawecki, an Idyllwild artist, producing fascinating banner-size portraits of iconic jazz musicians. The third part of the show is the continuation a well-received photography display, a unique collection of cell phone art produced by amateurs and professionals. The exhibit is a color-filled journey around the globe and focuses on artistic viewpoints of animals, people and places. The photos are available for purchase at $15 apiece. The proceeds benefit the Diamond Valley Arts Council.
